Downlite hires former Hollander exec for marketing and merchandising

Beth Mack and Brian Parnes take on new roles

Mason, Ohio – Sleep solutions manufacturer Downlite on Jan. 3 will welcome its new chief marketing and merchandising officer, Beth Mack.

Mack was most recently with Hollander, where she held many positions including her most recent responsibility as president of merchandising, marketing and hospitality sales. Prior to that Mack also worked at Pillowtex Corporation and Springs Global in sales. She will be reporting directly to Joe Crawford, president and CEO of Downlite.

“Beth brings three decades of industry-specific expertise in a wide range of disciplines. This, along with her team-oriented work ethic makes Beth a great fit for Downlite,” said Crawford.

Current COO/CMO, Brian Parnes, will be transitioning fully into the role of chief operating officer and continue his focus on ensuring the company’s operations are the best in the industry.

“I look forward to having Beth as part of the Downlite family. Her expertise will be integral as we look to continue to grow both national and private brands and deliver industry-leading innovations,” said Parnes.

“Beth is a highly respected industry veteran who brings a wealth of experience, along with a mindset of consumer based innovation and quality. We are all extremely excited to have her join our team,” said Linda Howard, SVP of Sales and Business Development.

“It is not every day you can improve your team by adding someone who can offer immediate value and who does not need any training in the industry. Beth is a unique and special addition to our team,” said Josh Werthaiser, president of the down & feather division.

Downlite will continue to focus on developing new product lines, sustainability, advance product and packaging innovation, among other key initiatives to continue to grow the company as a global leader in comfort solutions. The company also continues to support its long-standing mission to be sustainable, traceable, and provide consumers with high quality products at a great value.

The manufacturer’s brand partners include PrimaLoft, Pendleton Woolen Mills, Stearns & Foster, Tommy Bahama, Eddie Bauer, 37.5, Allergy & Asthma Association of America and Nikwax, among others.

“I’m excited to join Downlite and continue the company’s mission to bring innovation and high-quality sleep products to market,” said Mack.

Downlite also supplies high-quality fill to furniture, outerwear and sleeping bag manufacturers around the world. The manufacturer is a bluesign system partner, TDS and RDS certified, a member of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, a member of the American Down & Feather Council (ADFC), Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) and Conservation Alliance.
